Reactions to Obama Winning the Nobel Peace Prize

Earlier today, the Nobel Prize committee awarded U.S. President Barack Obama the 2009 Nobel Prize for Peace. If you missed the announcement, you can watch it here on the Nobel Prize YouTube channel, and President Obama posted his response and acceptance of the award on the White House YouTube channel.

The surprising choice has stirred up mixed reactions around the world, and many with strong opinions have uploaded their reactions to YouTube.

Here's a playlist with some videos that have come in today, including this one from former Nobel Peace prize winner Mohamed ElBaradei.

I think the Nobel Prize is an honor for the President, he was very gracious about accepting it.

this tells me that the Noble Prize Committee just DESTROYED my faith in the Noble Peace Prize
and everything that it USED mean.

This just shows how sick the left is on the Noble Prize Committee to lower this award to someone who hasn't got a clue where he is sending this great country. CHANGE will come back in 2012.!!!

LOL, to those who believe the Nobel Peace Prize was meaningful prior to it being awarded to President Obama must not know who and what for this prize has been awarded to/for in the past.

It was awarded to the man who created the atomic bomb.

The Nobel in medicine was awarded to a Dr. Moniz, who was the first to lobotomize human subjects, and who influenced the practice in the United States in the 1930's and continued through the early 70's.

I say, considering Obama hasn't done anything but promote ideas, he is more deserving than some of the past recipients. However, it is not of any less prestige because of Obama, it is been known that the Nobels award of all categories awarded throughout history to various awardees like the two mentioned above that make its worth a joke on humanity.
