Fight breaks out on SF Muni; bystander journalism captures it all
Just another day on the San Francisco Muni? This provactive piece of bystander journalism makes great use of YouTube annotations to fill in the gaps in the footage and provide context to the story. The clip also documents the Muni official's apparent negligence in doing anything about the fight at all:

Great job there, Muni!
But this is Liberal Haven San Francisco only peace and love flows there.
I guess those 2 didn't get the memo that they should love everyone.
I was waiting for Yoko to sing, "Give peace A Chance."
"Citizen Tube - Watching Video Change Our World"
How exactly does a recording of what looks to be a petty fight like any other on a train "change our world?"
Maybe I need a translator on this one... but was she saying "f*** you" shortly before the physical fight broke out? And did she also say the N-word at some point prior to that?
this video should be called "a typical muni bus ride", muni is pretty much like this all the time
I agree with David Chartier. This is rather entertaining, but how exactly does watching two grown woman act like children "change our world"?
I was under the impression that citizen tube was better than this.
All the men in the vehicle are pussy in the making... including the guy who shot this film, cant do anything to stop a fight. Mute spectator.
Yeah, you're all right. However, it beats the powder-puff stuff on the evening news.
this is petty, worthless, garbage. Don't waste our time with stuff like this, please. There's serious matters to resolve on this planet.
totally changed our world.
I agree with the 1st comment.
The last one i mean
While the content here isn't world changing, the idea of citizens recording local events is. While this one fight isn't so significant, if it's part of a pattern of activity on muni or some evidence of a rise in racial tensions in San Francisco, then it is important.
I think it's totally appropriate for this blog to point to those occasions when citizens, using low cost equipment, use YouTube to bring our attention to things happening in our world.
It changed my world, I finally saw an instigator "put your hands on me" finally get her butt beat and kicked off the bus while the one defending her stance held her seat in victory. Good for her and standing her ground!
